3rd day of the food clear-out challenge......our meals are definitely taking on some character but we are not starving :P
As I am preparing meals and all 5 of us are eating I am amazed at the amount of food we still have. I am thinking I might stretch it past Monday.....we will see, as there is a limit to the amount of beans we can eat in a row.
Breakfast:
- Oatmeal Waffles that were pre-made and in the fridge
- Sunbutter
- boiled apple
- refried beans made from pinto beans cooked in the crock-pot overnight
- Multi grain bread
- Tuna salad from yesterday
Lunch:
- Butternut Squash Soup for the kids
- Bean and grain soup for the adults
- Homemade biscuits
*butter
*gluten free all purpose flour
*baking powder
*oregano
*basil
*onion powder
*shredded parmesan
Snack for kids:
- whole wheat bread
- liverpate
Dinner:
- Rice
- Beans, cooked in the crock-pot overnight
- Hotdogs
- Butternut squash soup
- whole wheat bread with liverpate for a congested little one who is not interested in much
Dessert:
- chocolate chip cookies from freezer
- 1 serving of lemon mousse from yesterday
Other items made:
- hot cocoa

*cocoa
*sugar
*whipping cream
- hot tea with breakfast
